For the Amur leopard it would be very helpful if a person from your “leopard group” would be able to find out if there are buyers of dried sika deer antler velvet in Korea, and what the price of this velvet is.
It is great news that you have already raised $2,000! However, I am not sure if it is possible to spend the funds on anti-poaching with a dog. The work of the dog that we already have, is already financed. And I am not completely sure if we will buy a second dog. That depends on if other AP teams also want to work with a dog. So far I have not found another team that wants to work with a dog! Sio in any case a second dog will not be bought soon.
But I hope you agree to spend your money on another project. One possibility is to spend it on the main anti-poaching team. Another possibility is fire-fighting. We have a fire-fighting team. They now work in a priority area of about 100 square kilometres. They have reduced fires by 65% in the priority area. We will now built firebreaks, which will reduce the fires even more. And then we will plant trees in parts of the priority area where they have disappeared (only grass remains in some parts). Would it be possible to spend your money on building a system of firebreaks?
