We thank you for your support to the Philippine campaign for the U.S. to take Responsibility for the clean-up of Clark & Subic.
We have read about your objective of supporting grassroots movement in the spirit of genuine solidarity. This framework affirms our belief that empowering the grassroots is the key to the success of social movements in the Third world particularly Asia. It is only when grassroots people have taken the future in their hands that we become closer to the realization of our goals.
As we have earlier expressed, we have decided to make a priority of the grassroots movement provincial organizations YAKP-SUBIC, SAUP-TWV-CLART as the beneficiary of your donation. It will support the activities a operations of their organizations. This we believe is the most sustairable way of disbursing the money. It will fund their on-the-job leadership training.
We will be intouch with you from time to time. On be half of the victims of toxic a hazardous waste in the former U.S. military bases in Clark & Subic.
