*GREEN GROUP (www.green-group.com)– established in 1991 to provide environmental programming to school-aged children, their teachers and families. Over the past eleven years, THE GREEN GROUP has provided highly valuable and successful programs such as the Comprehensive Litter-Less Lunch, the Composting Crew, the Clean Up Challenge, the Green Kid Club and Eco-Pals to more than 3,000 schools across Canada. At least 250,000 students and their families have been positively effected by one or more of our programs. We now also offer the ECO-PALS program to American classes in the area of the Great Lakes Watershed. The long-term goal of the organization is to provide educational programs and activities to children and youth which maximize their awareness and ability to act upon protecting and conserving the environment for a sustainable future. All GREEN GROUP programs are free of cost to participants. We are supported by grants from government, corporations and charitable foundations. We also have the generous support of schools and individual teachers who make charitable donations in order to help support our programs.
