*International Network for Sustainable Energy (www.inforse.org)– Since the INFORSE network was formed at the Rio-conference in June 1992, it has organised NGOs around the world for sustainable development in energy. In spite of the recent change of the secretariat and the underlaying economic problems for Forum for Energy & Development (former host of the INFORSE Secretariat), the activities continue.
INFORSE follows the preparation for Rio+10 in Johannesburg in August, and the network is preparing a side event.
INFORSE and INFORSE members work for sustainable development in energy on all levels, from local to global.
As part of this, INFORSE is working on a ‘Vision2050’ which was presented at the Rio´02 conference in January.
The aim is a 100% sustainable energy supply by 2050.
